Annual Memberships for 2023 are Due!
The HPS Membership Year runs from 1 January to 31 December. If you don't pay your Annual Membership by Standing Order, it would be really helpful if it could be paid now. The easiest option to make the £25 payment is by BACS (FPI) direct to: RBS Sort code: 83 47 00 and HPS Acct No: 00177837 (please include reference of your initial, surname and postcode i.e. J Bloggs PH99 9AB) The Year Book will be sent to all members early in the spring.

Attention All Performance Award Card Holders!
2022 Performance Award Card Holders - Save the Date! The awards evening will be held on Tuesday 31 January at 7pm on the Zoom platform. It will combine the Scotland and the England & Wales Schemes as well as the In Hand Scheme which was inaugurated in 2021.This evening will be combined with photos and video footage of those who have participated and there will be a Powerpoint presentation which highlights the versatility of the amazing Highland breed. Following the major success of the Highland Pony Society's very first Year Book in 2022 another one will be published in 2023! This 128 page glossy, coloured A5 book comprises essential information and contact information alongside interesting articles and feature advertisements for studs all over the UK and overseas stretching from Canada and the United States to Australia and New Zealand. Entries Invited for the Stock Judging Competition 2022
Entries are invited for the Highland Pony Society’s annual stock judging event, to be held during the Royal Highland Show on Friday 24 June 2022 at approximately 3pm in the cattle rings between the Highland Hall and the main arena. Participating in this is educational and allows competitors to compare their reasons for placing ponies with those of an experienced judge. If you would like to know more about judging Highland ponies, you are very welcome to take part. Breeders! Help Needed for RBST Equine Conservation Project
The Rare Breeds Survival Trust is asking for your help to collect data on breeding populations and reproduction within Watchlist equines, including Highland ponies. The aim of this section of the project is to collect information on mares attempting to breed in the current year. The information they are seeking is the age, whether it was AI or natural service, the mare’s breeding history, the stallion used and how many cycles were required before a pregnancy was achieved.
