We would like to wish all of our Members and Friends a very Happy Christmas and Best Wishes for 2024. This year has been one of the most exciting and busiest the Society has seen for a long time and we are very grateful for the support and enthusiasm shown by you all throughout the Centenary celebrations and events. Thank you also for your patience over the year as we waved goodbye to our longstanding and loyal Secretary Susie and settled a new Secretary into the role. Highland Ponies Feature With Alan Titchmarsh on ITV this Sunday
Tune into a a special Remembrance Sunday episode of Alan Titchmarsh Love your Weekend which will be airing on ITV between 9.30 and 11.30am this coming Sunday. The show features a Highland Pony Breed special where Alan discusses the breed and it’s versatility withour very own HPS council member Kate Hawes. The ponies featured are Whitefield Prince Valient (working pony) with Joshua Carnegie, Redcliffe Millicent (driven pony) with Richard Hardy, Glenmuir Mountain Ash (ridden pony) with Eleanor Lyttle and Glengarry of Talisker (in hand pony) with Diane.

NPS Scotland In Hand Show / Change of Date
NPS Scotland In Hand Show will now take place on Saturday 4th November at Netherton Equestrian, Aberargie, Perth. With classes for foals, youngstock and mature animals. Judge is Mrs P Stirling. Trophies and prizes up for grabs. Please visit NPS Scotland for more information. This is a great show to get youngsters out to – busy but not too busy!

Exciting HOYS Announcement
We are delighted to announce that in addition to the Highland Pony Society Centenary Celebration Parade on Sunday evening in the Andrews Bowen International Arena at Horse of the Year Show 2023, our Immediate Past President, Sylvia Ormiston MVO has been invited to present the infamous 'Ode to the Horse' at the Grand Finale of the Show! This is a huge honour for Sylvia who is Stud Manager to His Majesty The King at Balmoral Castle and for The Highland Pony Society in their year of Centenary Celebrations.

Highland Pony Centenary Showcase at Scottish Smallholders Festival
Come and support us! We have a great line up of 6 ponies to present to our audience at The Highland Hall, Royal Highland Showground at Ingliston. 14th October: doors open 0900 and our displays are 1000 and 1400hrs. Tickets at www.festival.scot The Equine Showcase at the Scottish Smallholders Festival has been a regular feature since its inception 12 years ago. Run under the patronage of the Rare Breed Survival Trust, most of our native breeds have been exhibited with demonstrations, commentary and the chance to speak with all the exhibitors at their respective pens.
