We are deeply saddened to learn that Joan Alexander of Fourmerk Highland Ponies passed away peacefully on Monday night. Joan who was a life member of the Society and bred Highland ponies under the Fourmerk prefix was a true ambassador for the breed. Her passion and dedication to the Highland Pony was evident to all who knew her. Our thoughts are very much with Joan's daughter Vicki, grandchildren Alexander and Eilidh and the rest of the family at this difficult time.
A memorial service to celebrate Joan's life will be held at Gargunnock Parish Church on Tuesday 7th July 2026 at 11.15am. Family flowers only please. A collection will be taken at the church in aid of Alzeimer's Research UK.
