Virtual Highland Pony Show Attracts Worldwide Entries!
Virtual Show Results 2021
Following the success of the Virtual Show during the lockdown in 2020, the HPS was pleased to be able to offer a further virtual show with two in hand and two ridden classes.
Entries were received from as far afield as New Zealand and the United States of America as well as from Germany and the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. It is lovely to see these members who simply couldn’t reach rural Perthshire for the Breed Show to be able to compete.
The In Hand and Ridden judges were those who judged ponies at the actual Breed Show and the results of the Virtual Show were released during the show at Strathallan Castle by Willie Allan, the commentator.
The In Hand Section judge, Jennifer Allan chose as her Champion, Pottertonpark Marsaili, a three year old filly owned and bred by Mrs Liz Mangham from Leeds in Yorkshire. In the Ridden Section, Virginia Osborne-Antolovi appointed Memphis of Millfield as her champion. She commented that Memphis, a 10 year old gelding bred by Mr WKA and Ms JM Allan, was a pony with a lovely outlook who had a very pleasing partnership with his rider.
