Tickets Now Available for the HPS Centenary Celebration Ride at Balmoral
Saturday 27 May 2023
The Highland Pony Society and The British Horse Society (Scotland) are honoured to run a fundraising ride as part of the Highland Pony Society Centenary Celebrations at Balmoral Estate on 27 May 2023. Money raised will be split equally between the two charities.
We are privileged to be allowed on brand new routes through the 300-year-old pine forest, exploring some of the best vistas on The Royal Estate.
There are three routes to choose from:
5km – Cairns and Obelisks
A lovely 5km circuit taking in amazing views of Balmoral Estate and Castle with lots of interesting monuments en route.
11km – River Dee and the Woods of Garmaddie
Ride on great tracks that are suitable for carriages too – edging the Lochnagar Massif with views of the Munro. Enjoy mossy green woodland and ride mostly on forest and estate tracks. This route can also be driven.
20km - Garbh Allt and Ballochbuie
A beautiful new route - not to be missed! On wonderful going, explore the largest Caledonian forest in Scotland; rich pinewood with 300 year old trees and the beautiful tumbling cascades of the Garbh Allt Falls.
Your ride ticket will allow you exclusive access to the famous Balmoral Estate. Catering will be available and all riders will receive a commemorative rosette. This is an exclusive event not to be missed!
