A very exciting opportunity to acquire a top quality 3yo licensed colt standing at approximately 14hh and a lovely bay.
Mac has great conformation, bone, movement and the most lovely little pony head!
By Balmoral Major, the highly regarded Highland stallion previously owned and bred by HM The Queen, and out of Birchcroft Susie he offers a particularly attractive pedigree.
Mac has already covered a mare, getting her in foal on his first attempt and so he is proven – which is great and an encouraging indication of his fertility and we very much look forward to the arrival of the foal in spring.
He is a genuine, kind and exceptionally well-mannered young man, with a lovely temperament and is a pleasure to have around. He is extremely easy to do and is the most laid back pony i have come across yet!
Mac turns out with his gelding friend or can also be turned out in a field next to mares. He happily stables next to either also.
He can be left out whilst his friend goes off to ride or equally he will come in alone with no fuss.
He is a really exciting young colt with breeding potential for the future, and would make a valuable asset to any stud. With his lovely movement and trainable attitude he will be lovely under saddle when the time comes.
This is an extremely sad sale as Mac was to be our breeding stallion and we love everything about him. However, we have discovered he absolutely can NOT be turned out with sheep! We are a big sheep farm therefore we nees to find him a new home.
Located in Caithness, Scotland. Eric Gillies are up here once a week so transport is no problem
