14.2hh, rising 6yr old, grey dun Highland pony mare

This is a very hard decision due to my rheumatoid arthritis getting worse... sadly I won’t be getting better.

I bought Lily with keeping her forever in my mind. Sadly my health started to deteriorate much earlier than I expected. This winter has caused so many bad flare ups that I cannot give Lily the exercise she needs. A friend has ridden her a few times over the winter.

Lily was the easiest pony to back which I did myself in 2018. Since then she has been hacking out in company but not alone. She does not enjoy schooling in an arena very much. She can be a typical lazy, stubborn Highland pony then! She is great with the dentist and the barefoot trimmer. Happy to come into a stable or live out. Travelled brilliantly from Devon to East Sussex in a 3.5 ton lorry and was really good. Her groundwork is excellent. She moves away from pressure, backs up and enjoys pole work. She has seen trains, bikes, tractors, cars and is great with dogs.

She will be a brilliant project for someone to continue her education. I’m keeping her off the fields and in an arena at the moment due to the mud so she is actually clean and not a hairy mud monster! This will all change as soon as she can go back onto the grass. She is a character and loves playing with the water hose and enjoys her baths.

Sorry, no loans or loans with a view to buy.
