Started professionally March 2024, long reined, hacking sensibly on his own and in company.
Came home and had a quiet summer hacking along country lanes.
Hacks calmly past sheep, cows, pigs etc. Good with tractors, dustbin lorries and usual light traffic.
5 weeks professional schooling October/November, nice walk, trot and canter in school and happily trot/canter over cross poles.
Good to catch, lead and with farrier, respectful of electric fencing.
Has now had winter off and is ready to come back into work.
Hamish likes to form an acquaintance with his handler, this doesn’t take long but he is wary of new people. He needs a home with experience of bringing young ponies on and will not at this point suit novices or the nervous, for this reason he is sold from field unless you are local and available to spend a bit of time with him first.
With time will make a good allrounder.
I am happy to answer all questions openly as I want Hamish to go to an appropriate home.
