9 year old yellow dun mare.

Superb temperament, affectionate, easy to catch, box, shoe and in and out of the stable. A nice person!

Poppy has had at least one foal. Sold only as I have become allergic.  In the Dykes stud until her owner’s death in 2023 and the stud was dispersed. Poppy was partly broken some years ago, (young rider wants to stay in touch) but further training only commenced this year. Easy and willing, rides out alone passing heavy vehicles, machinery, chain saws etc. Schooling well, she needs clear signals to understand what you are asking her to do because it’s all new to her, therefore probably wouldn’t suit a novice. She’s been ridden by an experienced 14 year old and is being trained by a pony club instructor.  Poppy is not a natural  athlete, she’s a bit stiff on the right rein but working on it. She is nicely forward going, will be a super hack. Absolutely no lumps or bumps, moves nicely but wouldn’t suit a competitive home. An honest pony. I really can’t say anything bad about her.

Will only be sold to a suitable home.
