14 year old, 14.1hh cream dun Highland mare, Owl’send Myrtle for sale due to a change in personal circumstances. I have had her since she was 4 years old and will only consider the very best home where she will be loved and cared for for the rest of her days. Ideally, I would like to visit any potential new homes prior to agreeing a sale.
Sire: Blairgowrie of Whitefield [Viscount of Whitefield x Dulcie of Glenfender] and dam: Rosehip of Denmill [Balmoral Moss x Rosan of Denmill].
In our first few years together I put a lot of time and patience into helping Myrtle become the wonderful pony she is today. She would not suit anyone bullish or heavy handed. She will not be bullied into anything and thrives with a kind and confident rider/handler. Myrtle has been on loan for the past few years to a local riding school. Prior to this, I mainly hacked and did a little schooling. She will hack alone and in company. She will pop a log out hacking and has recently been jumping in the school .
Myrtle is great with dentist and farrier. She loves to be fussed and groomed. Loading may take some time and patience as she has only loaded once in the past 10 years.
She can be strong so does need a confident handler. Before she went on loan she was regularly handled and ridden by my 5 year old niece under very close supervision.
Myrtle is currently ridden by a 13 year old and would suit an adult or teenager.
