Description

Yellow dun highland pony

Registered name Little Fenwick Sandy

Out of Glenmuir Elieen by Strathlaven Druid

He’s now rising 7 and in his prime. Standing a full up 14.2hh

Due to work, life and having other horses that are needing more constant work he’s taken a massive back step in my life and it feels like sacrilege him standing in a field when I’ve put so much time and effort into this boy over the years.

I’ve done abit of everything with Fen from hacking alone, in company he will happily lead the ride or plod along at the back. He’s been shown inhand as a youngster and always done very well including the cheshire show,Yorkshire show and Equifest. He’s been on days out to the beach, pleasure rides, pub rides the lot. Towards the back end of last year I took him on some hunt exercises with hounds which he proved a little superstar with everyone commenting on him.

He will happily pop over jumps this seems to be one of the things that gives him some get up and go.

He has been schooled but not something I’ve continued with he would much rather be out and about.

He is perfect to box, shoe, clip and catch but can be strong to handle on the ground due to his build and size.

He will happily stable on his own with no stress

I cannot stress how much of a good pony he is it will break my heart to see him go but I feel like I’ve given him the best start to life and its now time for him to find a new best friend, he’s a consistently brilliant pony

He’s never been sick or sorry! (Touch wood)

I had a baby last year he has proved that having months off work then having a saddle thrown back on him and out hacking again makes no difference to him whatsoever.

Everyone who knows this pony can vouch for him being a genuine, loyal pony.

He is up to date with Jabs, teeth and shod regular.

I must stress that I will not be selling him to any old home and he will not be a cheap pony.

I would like him to go to someone with a background of highland ponies as he is a very true to type.

If I’m not 100000% sure that his home wouldn’t be perfect he will have to become a field ornament. He doesn’t owe me anything.

He has a full wardrobe including a Fiona Cork saddle.
