The Rosettes and Trophies on Display

37 Performance Awards Cards were sold in England and Wales for the 2016 season and 32 were returned for scoring. Anne Owen-Walker arranged a wonderful Presentation celebration in her own home at the end of January for all who had participated.

The results are kept a closely guarded secret until the day the awards are presented and several people were quite emotional with their prizes. The worthy winner was Lesley Dawson with Trowan Primrose, bred by Robert Davidson. They had amassed 3768 points over the season and finished 250 points ahead of their closest rival, Gabrielle Batty with Lorien Haf Arien. Mandy Twyman was thrilled that her son George was highest placed Junior, winning the Sue Giles trophy for the second year running in what was his final year as a junior. Linda Graham took the newly presented Nashend Sea Otter trophy after coming back from surgery that had kept them away from competition for all of 2015.

The Pudding Competition which Anne and Steve organised instead of a raffle raised £53.52 for the Equine Grass Sickness Research Fund.
