Olympian Success for Highlands!

Two Finish in the Top Ten!

Olympia Horse Show has been the most amazing showcase for Highlands once again this year with two Highland ponies finishing in the top ten. Very well done to the four owners and their ponies who represented the Highland Pony breed so very ably. It is no mean feat to qualify and then to make the journey to the Championships with ponies in tip top condition. Their dedication is hugely respected.

• Benbreac of Croila owned by Melanie Stanford and ridden by Matthew Cooper
• Strathleven Drumochter owned by Mr and Mrs Warner and ridden by Claire Fitch

• Dunedin Duncan owned by Diane Brereton and ridden by Harriet Dennison
• Ellister Islay Mariner - owned by Tamsyn Cornwall-Howe and ridden by Sarah Field

The Society's warmest congratulations go especially to Melanie Stanford. Benbreac of Croila is photographed here. They finished Best of Breed and Reserve Champion Overall. Last year, Ben Breac, finishing in 3rd place, was also best of breed.
